Raise the media volume
Press volume up while nothing is playing and make sure the media slider (the one with a music note) is at the top. Ringtone volume doesn't count.
Turn off Bluetooth
Swipe down for Quick Settings and switch Bluetooth off so the sound can't go to earbuds or your car.
Bottom edge down, then press play
Hold the phone vertically with the bottom speaker facing the floor. Start with Quick mode.
Turn on Vibration assist
On Android you can switch on Vibration assist below the tool. The phone buzzes along with the tone for a little extra shake.
Do the top speaker too
Many Android phones use the earpiece as a second speaker. Pick Right or Left, turn the phone top-down, and run one more round.

Water eject for Android: fix a muffled speaker
Most Android phones have no built-in water eject. This page plays the same 165 Hz tone in your browser. Volume up, speaker down, press play.
Short answer
Turn media volume to maximum, disconnect Bluetooth and hold the phone with the bottom speaker facing down. Play the tone for 30–60 seconds, wipe, and repeat 2–3 times. Turn on Vibration assist for extra shake.

Moisture detected alert
Galaxy phones may show "Moisture has been detected" and stop charging. This is about the USB-C port. Unplug, shake the port gently, and wait until the icon clears. Wireless charging is still possible on many models, but a dry port is safer.

Two speakers
Pixels use the bottom speaker and the earpiece together. Run a round bottom-down, then one top-down. If you hear static in calls, the earpiece still has water.

Built-in "Clear speaker"
Some Xiaomi phones have a hidden cleaner. Open Settings and search for "Clear speaker". If you don't find it, this page does the same thing.

Same method
No built-in eject on most models. Use Quick mode first, then Deep if the sound is still dull. Take off thick cases, which can trap water over the grille.
Common mistakes with a wet Android phone
Salt or pool water? Chlorine, salt and sugar leave residue as they dry. Rinse the outside briefly with fresh water if your phone is rated IP67 or IP68, then dry it and run the tool.
Don't ignore the moisture alert. Charging a wet USB-C port can corrode the pins. Let it dry first.
Don't use heat. Hair dryers and radiators can damage the battery and the glue seals.
Don't bury it in rice. Open air works just as well, and rice dust can get into the port and speaker.
Don't open the SIM tray to "let air in". It doesn't help drying and gives water another way in.

Is there a water eject app for Android?
There are many, but you don't need one. This page works in any modern Android browser and asks for no permissions.
Why is Vibration assist missing?
It only shows on Android browsers that support vibration. iPhones and computers don't allow websites to vibrate.
Does it work on Samsung Internet?
Yes. It also works in Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Opera on Android.
How do I know if the water is gone?
Play a song or use the speaker test. If voices are clear and there is no crackle, you are done.
Can the tone damage my phone?
No. It is a normal sound at a frequency every phone speaker can play. Stop and switch to Gentle if you hear rattling.
